The North Fork begins high in the Mount Evans Wilderness Area. Much of the North Fork and its tributaries is within the boundaries of the Pike National Forest, and is easily accessible from US Hwy. 285 - making it a favorite spot for recreation. It is well known as an excellent trout fishery.
