The effects of the 1968 Shinglemill Fire that burned 250 acres can still be seen on Little Scraggy Peak. Green Mountain is the forested mountain just behind and to the right of Little Scraggy when looking south across Forest Road 550. The granite rock outcrops are common in the Upper South Platte Watershed and provide some spectacular views.
