The far southern areas of the water shed are some of the most unique. South Park’s wide open expanses may bring one back to days of old, when Buffalo and Antelope roamed freely over the gentle rolling hills of this high altitude park. Elevenmile Canyon, administered by the Colorado State Parks, offers many recreational opportunities. Rock climbers scale granite outcroppings while fisherman, below, practice their art. The water in this area, whether stream or lake, is loved and cherished by many.
